Yesterday Barry had something to show me.
We went around outside to the basement and stepped inside to see it leaking profusely from the ceiling. His answer was that the pipes had all somehow managed to bust at their connecting points and would all need to be replaced or repaired since some were PVC and some were brass... and somehow it was my fault. HE couldn't do anything about it and we would all have to wait until his father came back into the area next week to fix the pipes.
This was around 24 hours ago...
I got home tonight at around 1:15am ( for personal reasons) and walked right to the fridge. Having noticed the puddle on the floor from the other day, I pulled the fridge out from the wall and noticed that the pressured water hose connected to the fridge had somehow been pinched (not naming any names though) and caused a small rip that was spraying water like a sprinkler on high all over the floor. I cut the water off, grabbed a towel and some electrical tape (it was a small tear) and in less than 10 minutes, the supposed several hundred dollar plumbing problem was repaired.
Barry is at work so he won't know that its fixed until he gets home in the morning. His girlfriend was going to tell him but he left the house with the remote to her car that disarms it so she can't leave the house... yesterday he left with both her car keys and her house key so she was stuck at home without a ride until he got back then.
Electrical tape: $0.95
Total Labor: 15 minutes
Proving Barry was wrong... again: Priceless!
